STANZAS FOR COMPREHENSION
I When I set out for Lyonnesse
A hundred miles away,
The rime was on the spray ;
And starlight lit my lonesomeness (Page 109)
Paraphrase. The poet started for Lyonnesse which was a hundred miles away. It was very cold then. The leaves were covered with frost. It was a lonely journey in the light of stars alone.
