उत्तर:
सीता स्वयंवर के अवसर पर लक्ष्मण ने क्रोधित परशुराम को धनुष टूट जाने के लिए निम्नलिखित तर्क दिए-

  • यह धनुष (शिव-धनुष) बहुत पुराना था।
  • राम ने तो इसे नया समझकर देखा था।
  • पुराना धनुष राम के हाथ लगाते ही टूट गया।
  • पुराना धनुष टूटने से हमें क्या लाभ-हानि होना था।

प्रश्न 2.
पहले सवैये में से उन पंक्तियों को छाँटकर लिखिए जिनमें अनुप्रास और रूपक अलंकार का प्रयोग हुआ है? ।
उत्तर:
परशुराम के क्रोध करने पर राम-लक्ष्मण की प्रतिक्रिया के आलोक में उनकी निम्नलिखित विशेषताएँ पता चलती हैं-

राम की विशेषताएँ|

  1. राम का स्वभाव अत्यंत विनम्र था।
  2. राम निडर, साहसी, धैर्यवान तथा मृदुभाषी थे।
  3. वे बड़ों के आज्ञाकारी तथा आज्ञापालक थे।

लक्ष्मण की विशेषताएँ

  1. लक्ष्मण में वाक्पटुता कूट-कूटकर भरी थी।
  2. उनका स्वभाव तर्कशील था।
  3. वे बुद्धिमान तथा व्यंग्य करने में निपुण थे।
  4. वे प्रत्युत्पन्नमति थे।
  5. वे वीर किंतु क्रोधी स्वभाव के थे।

प्रश्न 3.
निम्नलिखित पंक्तियों का काव्य-सौंदर्य स्पष्ट कीजिए पाँयनि नूपुर मंजु बजें, कटि किंकिनि कै धुनि की मधुराई। साँवरे अंग लसै पट पीत, हिये हुलसे बनमाल सुहाई।
उत्तर:
लक्ष्मण और परशुराम के मध्य हुए संवाद का यह भाग सबसे अच्छा लगा
लक्ष्मण – आप तो मेरे लिए काल को ऐसे बुला रहे हैं जैसे वह आपके वश में हो और भागा-भागा चला आएगा। परशुराम – यह कटुवादी बालक निश्चित रूप से मरने के योग्य है। अब तक मैं इसे बालक समझकर बचाता रहा।
परशुराम – मेरा फरसा अत्यंत तेज़ धारवाला है और मैं निर्दयी हूँ। विश्वामित्र जी मैं इसे आपके स्वभाव के कारण छोड़ रहा हूँ अन्यथा इसी फरसे से इसे काटकर गुरुऋण से उरिण हो जाता।

प्रश्न 4.
दूसरे कवित्त के आधार पर स्पष्ट करें कि ऋतुराज वसंत के बाल-रूप का वर्णन परंपरागत वसंत वर्णन से किस प्रकार भिन्न है। [Imp.][CBSE 2012]
उत्तर:
परशुराम ने अपने बारे में कहा कि मैं बाल ब्रह्मचारी और स्वभाव से बहुत ही क्रोधी हूँ। मैं क्षत्रिय कुल का नाश करने वाले के रूप में संसार में प्रसिद्ध हूँ। मैंने अपनी भुजाओं के बल पर अनेक बार पृथ्वी के राजाओं को पराजित किया, उनका वध किया और जीती हुई पृथ्वी ब्राह्मणों को दान में दे दी। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि मेरा फरसा बहुत ही भयानक है। इससे मैंने सहस्त्रबाहु की भुजाएँ काट दीं। यह फरसा इतना कठोर है कि यह गर्भ के बच्चों की भी हत्या कर देता है।

‘प्रातहि जगावत गुलाब चटकारी दै-इस पंक्ति का भाव स्पष्ट कीजिए। [CBSE]
उत्तर:
लक्ष्मण ने वीर योद्धा की विशेषताएँ बताते हुए कहा है कि

  • वीर योद्धा शत्रु से अपनी वीरता का बखान नहीं करते हैं।
  • वीर योद्धा रण क्षेत्र में शत्रु को सम्मुख देखकर युद्ध करते हैं और अपनी वीरता दिखाते हैं।
  • वीर योद्धा शत्रु को देखकर भयभीत नहीं होते हैं।

प्रश्न 6.
चाँदनी रात की सुंदरता को कवि ने किन-किन रूपों में देखा है? [CBSE]
उत्तर:
यह सत्य है कि साहस और शक्ति हर व्यक्ति के व्यक्तित्व की शोभा बढ़ाते हैं तथा योद्धाओं के लिए ये गुण अनिवार्य भी हैं, किंतु इनके साथ यदि विनम्रता का मेल हो जाए तो ये और भी उत्तम बन जाते हैं। विनम्रता से अकारण होने वाले वाद-विवाद या अप्रिय घटनाएँ होते-होते रुक जाती हैं। विनम्रता शत्रु के क्रोध पर भी भारी पड़ती है। अपनी विनम्रता के कारण व्यक्ति विपक्षी के लिए भी सम्मान का पात्र बन जाता

‘प्यारी राधिका को प्रतिबिंब सो लगत चंद’-इस पंक्ति का भाव स्पष्ट करते हुए बताएँ कि इसमें कौन-सा अलंकार है? [CBSE]
उत्तर:
(क) लक्ष्मण ने हँसते हुए परशुराम से व्यंग्यात्मक भाव से मधुर वचनों के माध्यम से कहा, “अरे! मुनिवर आप तो महायोद्धा निकले। आप बार-बार अपना कुल्हाड़ा मुझे दिखाकर ऐसा करना चाह रहे हैं मानो फैंक मारकर पहाड़ उड़ा देना चाहते हो।।

(ख) लक्ष्मण व्यंग्य भाव से परशुराम से कहते हैं कि यहाँ कोई कुम्हड़े की बतिया (सीताफल का छोटा-सा फल) नहीं है जो आपकी तर्जनी देखकर मर जाएगा अर्थात् हम भी इतने निर्बल नहीं हैं जो आपकी तर्जनी देखकर डर जाएँगे। मैं आपको फरसा, धनुष-बाण देखकर ही जो कुछ कहा था, सब अभिमानपूर्वक कहा था अर्थात् आपके अस्त्र-शस्त्रों से तनिक भी भयभीत नहीं हूँ।

(ग) परशुराम की गर्वोक्तियाँ और लक्ष्मण को बार-बार मृत्यु का भय दिखाने तथा फरसा उठाकर मारने की तत्परता देखकर विश्वामित्र ने अपने मन में हँसकर कहा कि मुनि को सावन के अंधे की भाँति सब हरा-हरा दिख रहा है अर्थात् मुनि को सभी कमजोर दिखाई दे रहे हैं, जिसे वे आसानी से मार देंगे, पर मुनि जिसे मीठी खाँड़ समझकर खा जाना चाहते हैं वह लौह (फौलाद) से बने तीक्ष्ण धारवाले खाँड़े हैं अर्थात् राम-लक्ष्मण फौलाद की भाँति मजबूत हैं।

प्रश्न 8.
तीसरे कवित्त के आधार पर बताइए कि कवि ने चाँदनी रात की उज्ज्वलता का वर्णन करने के लिए किन-किन उपमानों का प्रयोग किया है? [CBSE 2012]
उत्तर:
श्री तुलसीदास जी हिंदी-साहित्य-आकाश के दीप्तमान नक्षत्रों में सबसे दीप्त नक्षत्र हैं। उनके काव्य से स्पष्ट है कि भाषा पर उनका पूरा अधिकार है। इनका काव्य अवधी भाषा का उत्कृष्ट रूप है। भाषा में कितनी सुकोमलता, सहजता, सरलता है, इसका अनुभव पाठक को स्वयं होने लगता है। अवधी भाषा की पराकाष्ठा तुलसी जी के रामचरित मानस के कारण है-यह कहना अतिशयोक्ति नहीं है।

उनके काव्य में बहुत अच्छा नाद-सौंदर्य है, जिसे सामान्य-से-सामान्य जन गाकर भाव-विभोर हो उठता है। काव्य में गेयता है। लोक जीवन से जुड़ी लोकोक्तियों और मुहावरों ने काव्य को सजीव बना दिया है, जिससे काव्य में प्रवाह आ गया है। बिखरा हुआ विविध अलंकारों का सौंदर्य, यत्र-तत्र संस्कृतनिष्ठ शब्दों का प्रयोग, अर्थ को गंभीरता प्रदान करता हुआ सूक्ति-प्रयोग आदि को देखकर ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि व्याकरण-साहित्य पर उनका पूरा अधिकार था। काव्य में वीर रस की अभिव्यक्ति सर्वत्र है, जो पाठक को उद्वेलित करती रहती है। चौपाई और दोहा छंद का प्रयोग है जिसे सरलता से लयबद्ध गाया जा सकता है।

यहाँ तुलसी ने नीतिपरक प्रसंगों का खूब चित्रण किया है, जो प्रेरणास्रोत के रूप में मनुष्यों को प्रेरित करते हुए प्रतीत होते हैं। इस तरह भाषा उनकी अनुगामिनी है। ऐसा लगता है जैसे उन्होंने जिस बात को जिस तरह कहना चाहा है, उसी के अनुकूल शब्द स्वयं चलकर आ गए हैं।

प्रश्न 9.
पठित कविताओं के आधार पर कवि देव की काव्यगत विशेषताएँ बताइए। [CBSE]
उत्तर:
राम-लक्ष्मण-परशुराम संवाद में व्यंग्य का अनूठा प्रसंग है। व्यंग्य का यह प्रसंग लक्ष्मण और परशुराम के मध्य देखने को मिलता है। इसकी शुरुआत वीरता एवं वाक्चातुर्य के धनी लक्ष्मण से शुरू होती है। उनकी व्यंग्योक्तियाँ वृद्ध, ब्राह्मण मुनि परशुराम को मर्माहत करती हुई उत्तेजित करती हैं। लक्ष्मण उनसे युद्ध तो नहीं करते हैं, पर व्यंग्यक्तियों के माध्यम से उनका क्रोध इतना बढ़ा देते हैं कि परशुराम उन्हें मारने के लिए अपना फरसा उठा लेते हैं, पर लक्ष्मण अपने व्यंग्य बाणों से उनकी वीरता की धज्जियाँ उड़ाने में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ते हैं। इन व्यंग्योक्तियों के कुछ उदाहरण हैं

  • बहु धनुही तोरी लरिकाईं। कबहुँ न असि रिसि कीन्ह गोसाई ।।
  • का छति लाभु जून धनु तोरें। देखा रामनयन के भोरें ।।
  • छुअत टूट रघुपतिहु न दोसू। मुनि बिन काज करिअ कत रोसू ।।
  • पुनि-पुनि मोहि देखाव कुठारू। चहत उड़ावन पूँकि पहारू ।।
  • कोटि कुलिस समवचन तुम्हारा। ब्यर्थ धरहु धनु बान कुठारा।।
  • अपने मुहु तुम आपनि करनी। बार अनेक भाँति बहु बरनी।।

प्रश्न 10.
आप अपने घर की छत से पूर्णिमा की रात देखिए तथा उसके सौंदर्य को अपनी कलम से शब्दबद्ध कीजिए।
उत्तर:
(क) ‘बालक बोलि बधौं नहिं तोही’ में ब’ वर्ण की आवृत्ति होने पर अनुप्रास । अलंकार है।

(ख) “कोटि कुलिस सम बचनु तुम्हारा ।” उपमेय ‘बचन’ की उपमान ‘कुलिस’ से समानता दिखाने पर यहाँ उपमा अलंकार है। ‘कोटि कुलिस’ में ‘क’ वर्ण की आवृत्ति होने से अनुप्रास अलंकार भी है।

(ग) “तुम्ह तो कालु हाँक जनु लावा” यहाँ उत्प्रेक्षा वाचक शब्द ‘जनु’ से उप्रेक्षा-अलंकार है। “बार-बार मोहि लागि बोलावा” में बार-बार शब्द की आवृत्ति होने पर पुनरुक्ति
प्रकाश अलंकार है।

(घ) “लखन उतर आहुति सरिस भृगुबरकोपु कृसानु” में उपमावाचक शब्द ‘सरिस’ के प्रयोग से उपमा अलंकार है। यहाँ ‘लखन-उतर’ उपमेय और ‘आहुति’ उपमान है। ‘भृगुबरकोपु कृसानु” में भृगुबरकोपु और कृसानु में अभेद दिखाया गया है अतः रूपक अलंकार है। बढ़त देखि जल सम बचन’ में उपमा वाचक शब्द ‘सम’ के प्रयोग से उपमा अलंकार है।

यहाँ उपमेय ‘बचन’ और ‘जल’ उपमान है। ‘बोले रघुकुलभानु’ में ‘रघुकुल और भानु’ में अभेद दिखाया गया है। अतः यहाँ रूपक अलंकार है।

उत्तर:
गोपियों द्वारा उद्धव को भाग्यवान कहने में निहित व्यंग्य यह है कि वे उद्धव को बड़भागी कहकर उन्हें अभाग्यशाली होने की ओर संकेत करती हैं। वे कहना चाहती हैं कि उद्धव तुम श्रीकृष्ण के निकट रहकर भी उनके प्रेम से वंचित हो और इतनी निकटता के बाद भी तुम्हारे मन में श्रीकृष्ण के प्रति अनुराग नहीं पैदा हो सका। ऐसा तो तुम जैसे भाग्यवान के ही हो सकता है जो इतना निष्ठुर और पाषाण हृदय होगा अर्थात् गोपियाँ कहना चाहती हैं कि उद्धव तुम जैसा अभागा शायद ही दूसरा कोई हो।

यह भी संभव है कि हे उद्धव! तुम्हारे समीप रहते-रहते ज्ञान की बातें सुनते-सुनते तुम्हारा ही प्रभाव पड़ गया हो और प्रेम की तुलना में अब उन्हें योग ही श्रेष्ठ लगने लगा हो। उद्धव हमारे पास एक ही मन था, जिसे हमने कृष्ण को समर्पित कर दिया है। अब निर्गुण ब्रह्म का ध्यान किस मन से करें। हे उद्धव! हमारे लिए यह संभव नहीं है कि हम प्रेम को छोड़कर योग को अपनाएँ।

गोपियों के इस कथन का विस्तार समकालीन राजनीति में पूरी तरह से नजर आता है। आज राजनीति को छल-कपट, प्रपंच, झूठ, फरेब, धोखाधड़ी, छीना-झपटी आदि का दूसरा नाम माना जाने लगा है। इन कार्यों में जो जितना निपुण है, वह उतना ही बड़ा नेता कहलाता है। इस तरह की राजनीति में धर्म, कर्तव्य, विश्वास, ईमानदारी, सदाचार जैसे मूल्यों के लिए कोई जगह नहीं है। जिस तरह गोपियों को कृष्ण को राजधर्म की याद दिलानी पड़ी, उसी तरह आज के नेता भी अपना राजधर्म पूर्णतया विस्मृत कर चुके हैं।
